Sweetbox - WIKIPEDIA Y TEMAS

Sweetbox

Sweetbox is a Los Angeles based pop music project formed in 1995 by executive producer Heiko Schmidt and music producer Roberto "Geo" Rosan.

Sweetbox first became famous with the singer Kimberley Kearney and the single Booyah - Here We Go in the summer of 1995. Following Kimberley's departure from the project, Dacia Bridges was hired and released 2 further singles in 1996, Shakalaka and Wot.

In 1997, Tina Harris became the new face of Sweetbox and released the song Everything's Gonna Be Alright which saw worldwide success and placement in ten different European Top Ten charts. Tina went on to release the first full length self titled album and became a #1 album on the charts in 1998 in Japan and was awarded two Japanese Grammies for Best Song (1998) and the Best Newcomer (1998).

In 1999 after vocalist Tina Harris' departure, vocalist Jade Villalon was hired and during her time recording under the Sweetbox name released five studio albums and reached high success in Europe, Japan and South Korea.

In late 2007, after Jade Villalon's departure from the project after 7 years with them, Jamie Pineda was hired out of 3,000 auditions and went on to record her first album in 2009 with new producer Derek Bramble to positive reviews.
