Chorus:
Goodnight, sweetheart, well, it's time to go,
goodnight, sweetheart, well, it's time to go,
i hate to leave you, but i really must say,
goodnight, sweetheart, goodnight.
Repeat
Well, it's three o'clock in the morning,,
baby, i just can't treat you right,
well, i hate to leave you, baby,
don't mean maybe, because i love you so.
Chorus
Now, my mother and my father,
might hear if i stay here too long,
one kiss and we'll part,
and you'd be going,
although i hate to see you go.
The Spaniels - WIKIPEDIA Y TEMAS
The Spaniels
The Spaniels were an American R&B doo-wop group, best known for the hit "Goodnight, Sweetheart, Goodnight".
They have been called the first successful Midwestern R&B group.[1] Some historians of vocal groups consider Pookie Hudson to be the first true leader of a vocal group, because the Spaniels pioneered the technique of having the main singer solo at his own microphone, while the rest of the group shared a second microphone.[2]

GUITAR SLIM - WIKIPEDIA Y TEMAS
Guitar Slim
Otros temas exitosos fueron "The Story of My Life", "Something to Remember You By", "Sufferin' Mind", "Well I Done Got Over It", "Letter to My Girlfriend" y "Quicksand", aunque ninguno de ellos alcanzó el éxito del primero.
BIG MAMA THORNTON -
Big Mama Thornton

THE CLOVERS - One Mint Julep
The Clovers
One early morning, as i was walking
i met a woman, we started talking
i took her home, to get a few nips
but all i had was a mint julep
I don't remember just how i started
i only know that we should have parted
i stole a kiss, and then another
i didn't mean to take it further
one mint julep was the cause of it all
The lights were burning low, there in the parlor
when through the kitchen door, up popped her father
he said "i saw you when you kissed my daughter
better wed her right now, or face a slaughter!"
i didn't know just what i was doing
i had to marry of face ruin
A mint julep, a mint julep
a mint julep, a mint julep
one mint julep was the cause of it all
Now, i don't want to bore you with my troubles
but from now on i'll be thinking double
i'm through with flirting and drinking whiskey
i got six extra children from a-getting frisky
A mint julep, a mint julep
a mint julep, a mint julep
one mint julep was the cause of it all

Johnnie Ray - Cry
Johnnie Ray
If your sweetheart sends a letter of goodbye
it's no secret you'll feel better if you cry
when waking from a bad dream
don't you sometimes think it's real?
but it's only false emotions that you feel
If your heartaches seem to hang around too long
and your blues keep getting bluer with each song
remember sunshine can be found behind a cloudy sky
so let your hair down and go on and cry
